“I still journal with a pen. I carry my vintage Polaroid camera with me wherever I roam. Needless to say, I’d still be charmed by an old-fashioned love story.”

The identity of LEXGO is revealed by peeling away the outermost layers of the name “ALEX GOH”.

In 2003, Alex woke up from a dream illustrated in yellow and black. Based on that vision, he proceeded to found one of the most influential news websites for the global creative industry.

Forbes named it one of the “Top 5 Sites For Keeping Up With Creativity & Design”; USAToday headlined it “Design Industry On The Go”; TIME listed it as “one of the best Twitter feeds.” Google featured it as one of its “favourite things.”

Over the course of 16 years, he collaborated with some of the most prominent brands including Adobe, HP, and Heineken. He also continued to expand his network by launching more creative-focused tech startups.

In 2012, one of his startups earned the accolade of ‘Coolest Innovation’ at TechVenture, awarded by a panel of industry experts which includes Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin. Today his network of websites reaches millions of creative professionals every month.

In 2013, UNIQLO, one of the world’s largest fashion retailers, invited him to design a T-shirt for creative minds around the globe. He then doodled a random mess within an invisible square box, along with the message “it may be a long way, but you will get there.” The idea behind the design was, despite the countless detours, one would eventually fill up the box—that’s the way out. That T-shirt went on to sell out worldwide. Looking back, he believes his younger self wrote that message for himself today.

“It’s time I wander once more. I need to set my inner self free to rediscover who I am.”

As his businesses grew, he was working round the clock – shuttling between Americas, Europe and Asia. What started as a personal creative vision eventually evolved into a success story that accumulated from the hundreds of talented individuals that walked through his offices. It has grown far beyond himself.

In 2014, he left New York for good due to a personal event of trauma, which forced him to realign his life’s priorities. He was astounded by how much he had given up to pursue his ambitions: his youth, his family, his health—and his love.

Determined to regain control of his life once again, he then swam/raced in oceans, and headed for Everest.

In 2018, with hopes to re-ignite the same level of passion when he first started his first business, he then made good a promise he made himself—to wake up in rustic Tuscany the morning on his birthday after “15 years of die trying.”

While in Italy, he roamed to the haunted streets of Venice. Every night he was there, he woke up from nightmares of his past. Then, for reasons he can’t explain, he started shooting in black-and-white. Never had he seen the world more clearly.

This was when the new chapter of his creative journey begins…
